Still a trusted choice in the lineup, the 3.6L Pentastar® V6 continues for the 2026 model year. Paired with the eTorque mild hybrid system, this engine is crafted for drivers who value smooth power delivery and everyday practicality. It offers strong towing numbers and better efficiency around town, plus it keeps the price of entry lower if you don’t need the brute strength of the Hurricane engines.  

Electrified Options on the Horizon  

Ram is also moving closer to electrification with plans that could include plug-in hybrid and all-electric variants. While the fully electric Ram 1500 REV is separate from the gas-powered lineup, it reflects the Ram brand’s vision to offer more powertrain choices in the coming years. Shoppers who want electric power won’t have to wait much longer.
