"Finally, A Salesteam Focussed On The Customer!!"
My husband, teenage son and myself are volunteer firefighters and we needed something with low mileage, that's dependable and definitely has more room than what we had because we were overcrowded with our fire gear (we had a Mazda 3). The sales team was respectful to everyone and they let the customer walk the lot and choose what they want. Other dealerships we went to in the past would first ask how much we had to pay down, BUT at Adventure Cars in Chattanooga, the first question the salesman (Garrett Beavers) asked us what we were looking for in a vehicle (preference of size, color, etc..) and after we chose one to test drive we were told to put our fire gear in it and make sure it had the space we needed.
There were several customers in front us to purchase vehicles so we were there for 6 hours! There were some issues with getting the approval in writing because by the time our "turn" came for signatures to purchase the vehicle the lenders had left for the day. The sales team tried to get the best financing with the lowest down payment as possible. We only paid half down compared to what other dealerships wanted. The staff was very apologetic for the lengthy wait to purchase our vehicle.
For the length of time we were at the lot, Garrett made sure we stayed updated on the process and continuously acknowledged that we were there, as a matter of fact we were there for up to an hour past closing time and we were not rushed out the door, we got to sign the documents and drive our new Mazda 6 home that evening (Saturday 4/20). On Monday evening 4/22, we heard from Justin and were told to come back to the lot because the lender had gotten us a lower interest rate; so we went in on Tuesday to re-sign and upon arrival at the lot, Justin was the first to greet us and in no time we were signing the new documents. Most people would've gotten upset on Saturday and left without a new car, which I did consider that, but now I am thankful that I waited because when we got in our new car (my first ever new vehicle) and drove it home. It became very apparent with the saying, "good things come to those who wait".
Later this year we hope to purchase a new vehicle for our son and I have referred your dealership to several co-workers and family members. My parents will be there in August to test a new Mazda as well.
I would like to say thank you for having a dealership that does not focus on the money aspects of a car sale but the customer themselves and treats everyone fair and with respect. Your sales team is awesome!

My husband and I did had a very pleasant experience when we visited Edd Kirby Adventure in Dalton last week to purchase our 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited.
After looking for Jeeps on-line at various dealerships, we found the one we really liked at Edd Kirby in Dalton. I called the dealership and had the privilege of talking with Shea Baldrige. She was knowledgeable and very pleasant. She explained that she could hold the one Jeep we really liked until the next day for a small deposit.
We decided to do our part by contacting our credit union prior to our visit to Edd Kirby. (We have financed several cars with them in the past.) So, we had all of the financing information we needed before visiting Edd Kirby Adventure. Since Shea was not working on the day we visited, she had arranged for John Rhodes to help us.. He, too, was very knowledgeable and welcoming. We test drove and then purchased the Jeep we had initially liked on-line. It was the right color (inside and outside) and had all of the desired features. We are very pleased with our new Jeep and enjoy driving it.

"Helped Greatly In Our Time of Need"
I just wanted to express my sincere appreciation to you and your staff during a recent breakdown my family and I had in our 2002 Chevy Suburban on Easter Sunday late afternoon last weekend. We were on our way back to Indiana from Florida when I noticed what I thought was noise coming from a front wheel bearing while coming north through Atlanta. I was hopeful that we could be home Sunday evening since my wife and I had to report to work on Monday. But as we continued northward, the noise grew worse, and by 4:00 PM it was becoming apparent that we would not make home that evening--or worse risk breaking down in the dark in the middle of nowhere on Easter Sunday. We decide to do an Internet search and we found your dealership ahead in our route (about 30 miles) and decided to limp in, find a hotel near your dealership for the night, and hope that first thing Monday morning that your dealership could assist us.
I arrived at your dealership at 7:05 AM and noticed that you would open by 7:30 AM. By 7:20 AM your service advisor Chris James came out to inquire about my dilemma. He did not have to come out early but he did so anyway. After a brief discussion of my situation, he quickly gathered my information and brought the vehicle in for service. He kept me informed during the process and the mechanic confirmed my suspicion about the wheel bearing. The repair estimate was accurate, the parts were in stock, permission was granted to repair and I cannot believe that everything was repaired and ready for me to leave by 8:45 AM. I'm sure there were probably other vehicles schedule for repair that day but Chris recognized my situation and proceed to get started immediately.
My sincere appreciation to Chris James and the Mechanic who assisted me. This was a great relief to have us back on the road so quickly. I was so hopeful the evening before that your dealership could assist me in resolving this problem but I never expected to be back on the road before noon. All of the worry of the breakdown from the past day and a half was quickly put behind us and restored my peace of mind. I gathered up my family at the hotel and we were back on the road by 9:00 AM.

My wife and I recently purchased two vehicles. One of the main things we noticed right off of the bat was that we were not pressured into doing anything. Your salesman (Donnie King) was simply helpful in every manner and accommodating to our needs. This made the experience pleasant from the time we walked on the lot. We initially were looking at a Camero and a Jeep Grand Cherokee. In order to finalize our decision making process, we were encouraged to not worry about immediately closing a deal, but to test drive the vehicles over the weekend to ensure it fit our needs. I have never had the upfront trust and care that was offered and it was greatly appreciated. However, it did not stop there. When Monday came, I had determined the Camero was not a practical fit for our busy lives with our children. My wife was even more convinced she had made the right decision. So, without missing a beat, Donnie acknowledged my concerns and pulled out a solution that I am sure will make us happy for years to come. He was able to accommodate all of my needs in the Chevy Avalanche. It fit all of the needs I described to him. This showed Donnie's dedication to listening to the customers needs and not trying to fit us into something we may not want. That is customer service with a capital "C". The experience continued through the way in which the finance manager worked to get us the lowest rate possible on our financing and the follow through on the delivery of the vehicles. I can't say enough about the way Donnie focuses on the customer. He spent about an hour going through in detail how the features worked on the vehicles. Please let me tell you our story of woe and how two of your employees helped us. We will be forever grateful to Caleb Phillips, Dalton Service Advisor and Josh Kinsey, Dalton Diesel Technician. You see my wife and I are retiring to a life of fulltime RV-ing. We decided on a 5th wheel trailer pulled by a heavy duty pickup. Our limited budget forced on nationwide search to find suitable equipment. We found a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 Duramax/Allison diesel dually in Gainesville, GA with only 25,000 miles and an affordable price. This vehicle had been used to pull a 5th wheel trailer and was equipped exactly as we required so we made plans to fly from our home in the Seattle area to Atlanta, travel to Gainesville, and acquire this vehicle. We picked up the truck on March 13, 2012 and headed north. We got approximately 150 miles into our journey when the dreaded "service engine soon" light came on and the truck experienced a significant loss of power. We pull into a Pilot Service Center at the next exit to check it out and re-fuel. As we were fueling the vehicle we noticed large quantities of diesel fuel leaking beneath the engine. All attempts to restart the truck failed. So desperate for help we asked the Pilot personnel where the closest Chevrolet dealership was and they recommended your company. Your service department had already closed by this time so we had the truck towed to your service entrance and checked into the hotel across the street. The next day when your service department opened we checked our vehicle in with Caleb Phillips and described the problem. Your service department was totally booked that day and into the next but Caleb told us he would diagnose the problem as soon as possible and call us. So we settled into the Days Inn and waited. By mid-day the next day Caleb called and said the problem was the injector pump that had essentially destroyed itself and had blown metal shavings and fuel all over the engine through its freeze plugs. Caleb suggested that I come inspect the damage which I did. That's when I met Josh who was young enough to be my grandson. I thought how could Josh help us? What could he know he was so young? Caleb assured me Josh was the best diesel guy he had ever seen and was fully certified. So Josh went to work. Finally the next day the specially ordered new injector pump arrived from Chattanooga. Josh worked the rest of the day and early evening installing the new part and Caleb kept us up to date and checked on us. Knowing our predicament both Caleb and Josh went out of their way to help us. In fact Caleb told us that even though Josh was sick the following day he came in any way to finish the job so we could be on our way. So now you know our tale of woe with the perfect truck that turned out not to be so perfect. I guess there is a moral here in that a 10-year old diesel truck that has only 25,000 miles use has set unused a lot, probably not a good thing for a diesel. The story for us did not end here because after your guys sent us on our way we had additional, less severe, truck issues due to old contaminated fuel but we are forever grateful to Caleb and Josh for their help and consideration in a time of great stress for us. If the rest of your team is as good as Caleb and Josh you have an organization of talented caring members. We owe a debt of gratitude to these guys. With gratitude.

A few of months ago, I had heard that a new Mazda dealer had opened up in Chattanooga. My wife and I have owned three RX-8s - two 2004 models and a 2005 which I still have today. We were previously customers of Grey Epperson Mazda in Cleveland. Hank Wilson was the mechanic who had done all of the work on my RX-8s and I was really unhappy when I found out that he was no longer working there. There was really nothing else close to me, so I kept taking my car to Cleveland - the new service manager there was very nice and helpful. However, after a nearly unfortunate incident regarding my Mazda Speed cold air intake, I decided to give your dealership a try. I called the 800 number, I dialed the number for the service department, but I got the wrong service department. The person who answered was very polite and offered to forward me to your Mazda service department. After a couple of rings I heard, "Edd Kirby's Adventure Mazda Service Department, Hank speaking." I hope that you can imagine my excitement and relief at having found Hank working for your dealership. I immediately scheduled an appointment and brought my car in for service. I wanted to share how grateful we are to Hank Wilson for helping us get our vacation back on track! We were traveling from Iowa to Florida for spring break and found ourselves pulling over for the night a bit sooner than we thought due to the driver's rear wheel screeching. Hank Wilson answered and as I told him I had a Mazda Cx7 that I was certain the wheel bearing needed replaced, I was told the service department was not open and would need to schedule an appointment for Monday. He must have heard the anxiety in my voice because the next thing he asked was "how far away are you? " I said within a few miles and he asked me to bring it over and he'd take a look for me. I was sooo relieved! We went right over and he promptly looked at it and assured us it was nothing to worry about. To my embarrassment it turns out the wheel was pretty gritty with dirt, sand and whatever winter residue we have here in the Midwest! I truly appreciate his honesty and hospitality. So many others would have taken advantage of the situation or would simply have turned us away. Not him, after letting me know to give my poor Mazda a bath and tips on how to purchase my next set of tires, we were on our way to enjoy our vacation. I just wanted to tell you how pleased we are with your service department. Hank Wilson is the reason we came to your dealership to begin with. We purchased a new RX8 in 2007 at Gray Epperson in Cleveland and although we had a lot of problems with the car we were always treated with the utmost respect by the guys at Gray's. However the only person we ever really trusted with our car was Hank. He is a very honest and reliable Technician. "So blessed to be led to such a great place..."
On behalf of my family, I wanted to take a minute to thank you for running such a fine dealership there; especially highlight the prompt, friendly, professional help, and technical service we received from both Hank Wilson and the mechanic that worked on our Mazda 3, Steve during an unexpected visit.
We had just driven up from Tampa to visit Covenant College the day before, as our youngest was involved in a scholarship competition there. The next morning we unfortunately sustained some significant roadside debris damage to our undercarriage on I-75 (irrigation piping and gear fell off a flat bed into traffic) and later that night the "check engine" light came on just outside of Ringgold at about 10 in the evening. We stopped on the roadside to evaluate things as best we could and then eased into Chattanooga.
Early the next morning we called Adventure and were fortunate to get hooked up with Hank first thing; he took us right in, as we had a tight interview schedule that day with our daughter at the college. He and Steve both went over the previous day's damage very carefully and shored up some temporary fixes Mazda of Ocala had made (who graciously helped us right after the incident). Hank and Steve then accurately diagnosed our check engine light as an unrelated error code coming from the thermostat. They were able to make a prompt and reasonable repair, complete with a car rental. We were able to pick up our Mazda 3 later that afternoon and made all of the school events on time. Hank and Steve even updated some of the Mazda software in the process. In short, they really saved our visit to Chattanooga.
Being on the road with an automobile issue is always a bit of an anxious moment and we were so blessed to be led to such a great place, staffed by such wonderful people. We thank you again for all the great help and hope to see our daughter at school there this Fall. We plan to have Adventure continue to take great care of her Mazda during her four years there.

Start to finish, this was by far the easiest and most enjoyable car buying experience of my life. Garett Beaver was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and professional. This was our first new vehicle purchase, and Jacob Massey made it a fun, easy, and enjoyable experience. We live within a stone's throw of a competing dealership which I drive past daily, and many times drive through their lot just to see what all they have. However, when we saw a billboard for the opening of the Adventure Mazda in Chattanooga we thought we would check it out and compare. Your upfront pricing approach is excellent and turned me away from the competing dealership immediately (they are still so overpriced). We also felt Jacob and Mike (who helped with our financing) had our best interests at heart giving us multiple options on the vehicle and gave their suggestions based on what our preferences and priorities were. "Fantastic from start to finish!"
I truly had a fantastic car-buying experience at Adventure Mazda last week.
I had done my research before coming in so I knew exactly what I was looking for. When I arrived, I was greeted by you and Garret Beaver but then left to just "look around" on my own as I desired. Once I felt the CX9 is all that I thought it was from looking at it online, Garret then helped to answer questions I had and took me on a test drive. There was no sales pressure at all during the whole experience and once I drove the CX9 and saw all that it had to offer, I knew that was going to be my next vehicle.
Next, in an even bigger surprise, I was told the price of the vehicle I wanted and it was WELL below what I had in my mind I was going to need to pay. In addition, you gave me a more than fair trade in amount for my 2000 Durango to make the deal even easier.
Finally, on the day I came to pick up my CX9, Garret introduced me to the Service Manager who clearly explained the free oil change and tire program along with the regular maintenance (BTW, this program helped to even further solidify the deal -- who would have thought a dealership would give away free oil changes and tires for the life of the car? What a fantastic loyalty program that will keep me coming to your dealership for all my service needs from now on).
I have had many compliments from folks on the car itself during my first week of ownership, but when I tell them of my great experience with your dealership it makes it even better.

"These People Care!"
I used edmunds.com to research cars under $20,000. I narrowed them down to a Mazda3, Kia Forte Coupe, and Hyundai Veloster. I could live with any of the three. From there I used edmonds to get price quotes from 15-20 dealers and I pretty much told them I didn't care were I bought it was truly about price, then I waited. Adventure Cars was the only dealer who gave me an actual price, all the other dealers wanted me to go into the dealership. So I crunched there price and decided I would have to wait a little to save a few more dollars for a down payment.
A few weeks later I was playing around on cars.com using their lease calculator. I found out I could do without having a larger down payment if I leased. So I sent Adventure Cars an email with my own lease terms and said that was the deal, take it or leave it. It was a fair deal for both the dealer and I. In about 20 minutes the owner of the dealership called me and said he wanted to sell me a car. We ran credit over the phone, I was good to go. I went in for one of the least painful car buying experiences ever.
The other thing that impressed was the fact the owner called. I have sold cars and never met the owner of the dealership were I worked. I have also bought about 8 cars from dealers in my life and never got to meet the owner, even at smaller private owned lots. These people care. Also, after getting the Mazda3 I decided it was the best of the 3 because it gave me more horse power than the Veloster and better gas mileage than the Kia. The Mazda3 is a fun little car.

Yes, I did receive exceptional service. Garett Beaver was so nice and he spent time with me, but he also let me look without harassing me.
We went to many dealerships and did a lot of research and we were starting to feel like someone's prey, but not with Garett. One time we came in (after driving the vehicle and getting a feel for it) and we told him that we just wanted to look. He was totally absent, which is what we wanted. He knew when we wanted to talk, and he would fade to the background. The thing that I really like about Garett was the fact that he knew that we would buy a Mazda. There really wasn't a reason for him to be a high pressure guy, because he knew that he was representing a product that could withstand his enthusiasm. I even told Garett that I didn't think that he was a car salesman, he was just too nice.
When I came in yesterday to do the paperwork, Mike got me out of there so fast, that I was able to get back to work ON TIME. A lot of restaurants can't even do that. Definitely an exceptional experience!! Adventure Mazda was amazing!!!! Jacob Massey, my salesman, was wonderful and extremely nice and helpful. He went that extra mile to find us a 2010 Chevrolet Silverado that was still under a super warranty and only had 6,700 miles on it. We Love the truck!! "Love my new MAZDA!"
I am LOVING my new Mazda! And I would like to say that as a former Saturn owner, I was concerned as to how I would find a dealer who would treat me like a member of the family, as Saturn always did. You may or may not know, Saturn would practically throw a party when you bought a new car. For my first new Saturn, they moved the car into a wing of the showroom, and all gathered around and welcomed me to the family. They took a picture of me by my new car, and made it into a calendar.

I did a lot of research and looked at a total of 27 Solstices in order to make sure that my only granddaughter got exactly what she wanted. "Service Department: Relief to what others said was 'Normal'!"
I would like to thank you and the rest of the staff at Edd Kirby for finally getting my 2011 Silverado 2500 to quit smoking like a smoke kettle! My kids are a little upset because I won't let them call my new truck "Smokey" anymore. After six visits to the dealership that I bought the truck from with no fix to the problem and being told that this was normal for the diesel engines, it was a relief to carry it somewhere that actually thought this was an issue! "Adventure has its Act Together"
The salesperson I worked with was extremely nice, his name is David Ramirez. I liked the way he seemed to want to do all he could to make sure I was satisfied with the 2006 Mini Cooper I bought, as well as with the whole buying experience. I liked the opportunity to get the lowest price up front without the drawn out process of negotiation and the no high pressure sales approach. I liked the assurance that if I was unhappy with my purchase after 3 days I could return the car and basically "undo" the deal. I appreciate the follow-up communication from David and your service department, I have traded cars before where the salesman and/or dealership promised to be there for me after the sale and that really didn't work out too well. However, with your dealership I have felt everyone has been honest with me and does want to take care of me as a customer not just to make the sale but after the sale as well. Dear Mr. Kirby and Service Staff,
I was in your dealership with my "seriously sick" 2007 Cadillac CTS on March 28th, 2011 at 10:30AM. I am writing this letter to applaud the outstanding job your staff did on my car to restore it to like new condition after another group of individuals employed by a Dalton Goodyear Dealer failed miserably in an effort to change the oil in my automobile! Your Service Advisor, Rick Patton, together with his staff worked diligently on my car, found the reason for its loss of four of the five quarts of new synthetic oil that the Goodyear staff had injected into my engine on the previous Friday at my request. Mr. Patton and his cohorts kept me apprised of their progress in diagnosing the strangely missing oil and determined it to be the oil filter cap which the Goodyear staff hadn't bothered to adjust the rubber seal appropriately to shut off the flow of oil and keep it in the engine. It had leaked 4 quarts of oil all over the exterior of the motor and was smoking on Friday afternoon as I drove the car home. Luckily, my son was at home and at my insistence, he checked the oil and discovered it had already leaked out a quart. I left it in my driveway until Monday morning and drove it to Adventure Service Center for my appointment at 10:30. Mr. Patton discovered 4 quarts of oil gone.
I'm not very good at relating the sequence of events because it was an extremely emotional weekend for me. I just cannot praise enough the repair crew under the supervision of Mr. Rick Patton. He personally kept me apprised of his progress at every step of the way.
Unfortunately , I did not buy my CTS from your dealership because I lived near Gainesville and have been here in Dalton for a short period, but if and when I'm ever in the market for a replacement vehicle I will definitely remember the professionalism and care I was given at Edd Kirby's Adventure.

Yep, my experience with Garett and Brian was pretty OK. I am in a bad personal situation and financially down on my luck. I have been talking with Garett for about 3 months, and when I walked in there on Monday, I had very specific needs. Garett never blinked and (as always) honored me as a man and customer. I felt like I was being cared for (not just as a customer), but also as a human being in a difficult situation. Garett found me what I was looking for in truly less than 20 minutes and he was only $8.68 over my monthly budget. He promised the car to be ready by 5:15PM and delivered on his promise 35 minutes early. I do not know if I just got him on a good day, but every time I have spoken with him before and on the day of my purchase, he was a gentleman (not a car salesman at all). I will be back at your dealership many times, even if it is just to come and say hello.
Brian, who did the paperwork, followed in the soft and professional way of Garett. After I explained (in less than a minute) to Brian that I am so poor I cannot even pay attention, he honored my request to not try to sell me on any extras. He was fully prepared to do his job, but did not do so after I requested it.

I would like to inform you of the great service and hospitality my family received recently at Edd Kirby's Adventure Chrysler Jeep dealership. My wife and I drove to Dalton, Georgia, from Wisconsin to do some sight-seeing in the area. My son Nicholas is stationed 190 miles away at the Warner-Robins Air Force base and drove to Dalton to meet us.
As he exited l-75, his clutch cable snapped in his 1991 Dodge Spirit RT, a car that has been in the family since we purchased it new in December 1991 from Sheboygan Chrysler. Being a Saturday afternoon, I figured there would be little hope in getting it repaired until the following week. The staff at Edd Kirby's Adventure Chrysler Jeep managed to repair the end of the cable so that we could get the car back to the Air Force base. This was very important since my wife and I had to return home on Monday and could not wait for the car to get repaired during the week. Also, Nick needed to return to Robins AFB before Monday morning. Without their work, I am not sure how my son would have been able to get the car back in his possession. Since other airmen rely on him for transportation, it also would have affected others.
So it is with great appreciation that l would like to say thank you to the staff at Edd Kirby's Adventure. Your dealership truly supports the troops.

"All the Claims and Praises were Right!"
Well, I have to admit that all of the claims and praises were right. Due to a hectic work schedule, it took me over a month to get into the dealership. Thanks to Paul Foster sending me occasional emails (without junk-mailing me to death), I was kept up to date on the truck that I was looking at. I finally made it to the dealership to test drive a compact pick-up. I was pleased with it, but noticed that there was a slightly older full size truck for a little less money. I asked to test drive it with very low expectations. However, once I stepped into the cab I knew the truck was just like new. A 2006 model with 14,000 miles. Where do these guys find these vehicles? Paul instantly knew that I liked this truck better. I had a limited amount of time so I asked him to run the numbers for both vehicles. Paul was not available the next day, so Ken Janish was chosen to help him out. Paul said he would have Ken send me the estimates later that night via email.
I left the dealership thinking that there is no way this was going to work out. I figured that Adventure wouldn't give me enough for my trade, and that the asking price would change. These have been common problems for me in the past at several other dealerships. When I got home and checked my email, the 2 estimates were waiting on me, and to my surprise, they were really close to what I needed them to be. I called Ken the next day to let him know that I had a second trade and how much money I needed from it. He told me to bring it down and they would check it out. Again, I thought there was no way I would get what I wanted out of it. After about 5 minutes with the other trade, Ken came in and said no problem. I ended up with the exact price that I wanted with no pressure at all. This is exactly what they advertise. And more importantly, it is exactly what they delivered.
All of that being said, I would like to thank Paul and Ken for their help and patience with me. Ken stepped in seamlessly when Paul wasn't available and handled my deal perfectly. A seamless transition. Just like many others out there, I have been burned by dealers in the past and am reluctant to deal with car salesmen. But after less than 3 hours total at Adventure, I had a near new truck and was on my way. NO DEALER FEES! This should be a standard in the industry.

Recently, I bought a Jeep at your dealership. After which, I brought the Jeep back for some service items to be taken care of, and Ms. Rosalyn Zock handled my order. She informed me when the car would be completed, and she followed up to see all had been taken care of prior to my picking the Jeep up - I was very pleased with the service department and Customer Service provided by Ms. Zock. Also, this last weekend, I stopped by to check on ordering a part. I went to the Service window and they directed me to the Parts counter. Ms. Zock was working in Parts on this date. The part I was looking for was a wind deflector for the windows: one that inserted, not the stick-on type. She let me know first thing Monday morning that the dealership can get the insert deflector I am looking for, and told me when I could pick it up. Bottom line, I am not easily impressed, but I am highly impressed with Ms. Zock's customer service ability and that of your dealerships thus far. It is refreshing! We were very pleased with our purchasing experience; a generally stressful process (at other places). It started with a preliminary comparison shopping telephone call answered by Sales Consultant Michael Marquez (using the telephone saved much time, gas, and weariness verses personally going to different dealers). He was very articulate, personable, and professional. Not having the exact vehicle on the lot, he assured me he would locate it. He did in a timely manner. On the phone he advised that Advernture did business different and I asked how. He talked about how sales reps were paid a salary rather than a commission, the 3 day return / 7 day exchange policy, and, what we particularly liked, the free oil changes/ free tires for as long as you own the vehicle. Given all this, plus the price was competitive, we drove up that evening to leave a deposit for him to have the car delivered from South Carolina. There was a little break down when the vehicle was not delivered as quickly as stated, and I became hyper about the process. But Michael was very reassuring and calmed me down. The car was delivered to Adventure, we drove to pick it up and were given an educational demonstration as to the various functions, did the financial part with Brian, which was a good, fast, streamlined experience. We went to meet the Service Advisor, Caleb Phillips, and Michael explained what to do on our first service visit. We noted how clean the shop area was and was told about the work longevity of the service techs. AND, we liked "Matilda" (the Green Winged Macaw tropical bird), another good marketing tool! AND, nice, clean restrooms, AND Michael offered beverage, AND Michael showed good training to address his elders as Mr. and Mrs., unless invited to do otherwise (so many young people just call their elders by their first names without being invited to do so).

"Completely Different Experience (in a good way) than the local dealer"Joe, I really wanted to do business with my local Chevrolet dealer. They have a great slogan: Since 1952 "Price sells cars and service keep customers". The guys I dealt with there last Monday either hadn't heard the slogan or didn't believe in it. Maybe they just didn't want to sell cars. My experience with your folks on Tuesday was completely different. I phoned to confirm that the cars I had seen on-line were still available and spoke to Ken Janish. When I made it over the mountain and to the dealership, he was courteous, helpful and professional. Your folks offered a fair price for my trade-in, and we were able to complete the deal and I was headed back over the mountain in just a couple of hours. It's worth the drive over the mountain to be treated fairly. I'll do it again.

"Yeah Right - I'll believe no pressure when I see no pressure!"After watching a lot of the Adventure infomercials about no sales pressure, I thought, "Yeah Right. Maybe at first". But I said to myself I would give you a fair chance. When we arrived on the lot this past Monday to look at the inside of a car we had looked at Sunday, Sales Rep. Nelson Hall came running out and greeted us before we were halfway across the lot. He immediately unlocked the car for us and gave us all the time we wanted to look the car over - Very eager to let us take a test drive - Anywhere we wanted to go. Within a short time he was able to get a printout of the final price. Even though we were interested in only one car, NOT ONCE did he try to get us into a higher priced vehicle. He let us decide. We did buy the car we were looking at, a 2008 Kia Optima. We bought for one reason - the professionalism of Nelson Hall and absolutely NO sales pressure. I was as comfortable when I left as when I arrived. Overall, a very pleasant experience. Everything went very quickly and smoothly. If I need another vehicle in the future, yeah I'll be back. I probably spent a grand total of about 30 minutes at your dealership between picking up keys and signing papers. It couldn't have been a smoother process. I spent most of the time admiring the birds, the train, and the bearskin on the wall. It is weird to think that during a vehicle purchase I was more focused on the decoration and not how I was getting screwed on the sales price, or trying to be sold on some insurance or vehicle product I didn't need. The Adventure team is different for sure, but in a great way. I wish more dealerships were like you. As an added bonus, the vehicle I bought was in even better condition than described, and included some great features that weren't advertised.. "The Right Concept"More than anything in my life, what I hate the most is buying a car and having to be at a dealership for my whole day(my only time off) trying to negotiate with a sales manager and the stupid endless offers and sales pitches. We drove almost 2 hours from Dawsonville on the idea we were going to buy a 2006 BMW but it was not at all what we expected due to the interior. Dear Ted: My Dad and I had a wonderful experience at Adventure for a number of reasons. We started shopping in April to feel the market out and check out the makes and models of the 2007 automobiles, as well as, the pricing. We had made it clear at each dealership that we would not be ready to buy until June. We got the impression we were wasting their time since we weren't ready to buy that day. We met with our salesperson the first week of May. They took the time to show us the Chrysler Sebring and discussed pricing, style and told us when we were ready to buy just give her a call. They checked in with us by phone every few weeks, sent us e mails and made us feel like we were family. We have yet to get a call from any of the other dealerships in our area. When we finally were ready to take the plunge, my dad happened to see one of your ads on a Chrysler 300 at a reasonable price so we came down but our sales person was tied up with another customer and another associate was quite helpful until our salesperson was free. We really felt at home dealing with both associates and your finance manager who went over all the paperwork when we were finally ready to sign on the dotted line for the Chrysler 300. Hello. I recently visited your Dalton, GA location and I was helped by a new salesperson. We had spoken on the phone many times since Monday, March 26th. I am looking for a newer model truck and she said that she could help me. She told me up front,when I had questions, that she was fairly new to the dealership but would find the answers for me. Since this is my third purchase, I had a lot. Veronica was so professional and nice. She found the right answers to my questions and returned my phone calls promptly. We sat up an appointment for today and I went to see the trucks. I had done research the night before on the inventory and found a few in stock I was interested in. She showed my every single one I had specified, answered my questions, even let me see multiple cars more than once. She was very clear on my conditions and requirements. Even when I was not able to get a car today, she showed interest in my business and told me clearly what I needed to bring with me in a few weeks when I come back. She might be new, but she is truly an asset to the company and the dealership. She fit right in with the atmosphere. I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciated the service you provide at your dealership. I had been to three other places and had called about five different one's and no one seemed willing to help me once they found out I was just shopping and wasn't looking to make a purchase for at least 3 to 4 weeks. I happened to come to your web site and found a 2007 Aspen that you had and I put in to get a quote. I was contacted the next day by one of your salespeople. When I found out how much it was I told them it was out of my price range and she asked me what price range I was looking for and what kind of extras did I have to have. They called me back in 2 days to let me know they had found one for me that they thought I would love. I made an appointment to go look at it all the while she knew I might not be getting it. We visited your dealership with no intention of purchasing a car. We were bored on a Saturday and dropped in just to look. When we saw the Tahoe we wanted, we spoke to one of your sales personnel. I am writing to tell about the excellent service experience we enjoyed at Edd Kirby's Adventure Chrysler in Dalton, GA on April 11, 2009. On our way back from Florida to Indiana, the check engine light came on in our 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee and the transmission began jerking. We exited at Dalton and pulled in to the dealership at 9:30 Saturday Morning with No appointment we explained our problem along with our need to get back on the road quickly. The service Department started on the Jeep within a short period of time and after installing a transmission sensor our vehicle worked perfectly.
We feel very fortunate to have found such a knowledgeable and courteous dealership to service our Jeep in our time of need. We were back on the road before noon and very thankful to the service people who helped us.

"Body Shop Service at No Charge!"
I have a new car (less than a year old). On Thursday, June 24, 2010 I ran over a mailbox in a friends yard. My husband told me to take it to Edd Kirby to get an estimate on getting it repaired. I spoke with a girl named Camilla and a guy named Rich, both of whom were very nice. Rich went outside with me to look at the damage. He told me to hang on, he went inside came out with a spray can of something and a towel. He sprayed the damage and wiped it down, when he was done all of the damage was gone. He would not charge me anything. I was very excited. We have had two previous vehicles, both with major damage, repaired there and we were pleased with both of those experiences. Friends who had seen how bad the damage looked asked me how I got my car repaired so quickly and I have told them all the whole story, including how Edd Kirby treated me so great!!

"Straightforward and Stress Free"
I found the used car listing online and was interested in taking a look at the vehicle. I called and reached Garret Beaver, who was very pleasant on the phone so I was immediately glad he's who answered the call. We drove up from Atlanta and took the PT Cruiser for a test-drive. It was the most pleasant test drive experience of my life -- not just because I liked the car and did end up purchasing it -- but because of the way I was treated (like a responsible adult, which I am) and because the drive itself offered an opportunity to drive the car in multiple road conditions plus see some pretty nice and surprising scenery. Garret made the sale process as simple and straightforward as possible, as did Brian Considine who processed our loan paperwork. The transaction took longer than anticipated because we were behind someone in line whose paperwork was somehow delayed, so we ended up needing to stay past closing time (as was announced by Matilda your Green Winged Macaw) on the Memorial Day holiday. I felt bad that your workers needed to stay late on a holiday, but everything was completed as quickly as possible and we were off back to Atlanta.
For eight years my husband and I have shared one hybrid vehicle, this is a second car for convenience and has already proven to indeed help simplify scheduling. I have never before purchased a used car, but the experience was far more pleasant and went more smoothly than I'd expected. Thanks!

Joe,I did have a great experience. I actually went there to help my daughter buy a Sonata and spotted a 2008 Dodge Charger. My wife has wanted one for years so I asked your salesman Donnie King about it. He then told me about the 2010 Charger he had that for us was a much better deal. Then came the finance part...my bank had told me (because I was a little upside down on my trade) they couldn't finance the whole amount and we would have to put some cash down but he could get us 7.25 %. Donnie suggested I let your finance guy (Mr. Considine?) take a look and after signing the deal on my daughters car sent me home with the Charger. Donnie was very busy and called me later that afternoon and asked us to come in the next morning to see what you all could do.I don't mind telling you I worried about what interest rate you would be able to get me and if we would need to put cash down.The next morning we met with Donnie and Mr.Considine and I was floored to learn that not only was he able to get me financed for the whole amount but at 5.89 %!!!All of this was great but I was also impressed by the way we were treated as if we were old friends. Your staff were all friendly and very professional.We absolutely love our new car and the great deal we got and are very impressed with the professional and friendly atmosphere at your dealership. I apologize for taking so long to write this letter.
January 13, 2011, our Grand Cherokee broke down about 12 miles south of Dalton while traveling from Orlando, Florida back home to Elk Creek, Missouri. Breaking down on the road miles from home is never good, but your service department went above and beyond as far as service and treated us extremely well.
They immediately brought our vehicle in the shop and tried to find out what was wrong. I?m sure if we could have got the needed part our vehicle would have been fixed and we been on the way next day. But part could not be delivered until next day.
All your employees were very professional. Your employees made sure we had transportation to hotel and kept us informed as to the status of our vehicle.
If we lived closer, I would not hesitate to purchase a new vehicle from you. I even thought about buying a new Cherokee on the spot but it is my wife?s car and she wants a new Durango.
I do not remember all their names but special thanks to Roy Alvarran and the employees at the service desk. Also to the lady that works part-time at the CHILI?s restaurant. Not only their professionalism but also their humor was much appreciated.

I very much enjoyed my experience at Edd Kirby Chevrolet in Dalton. The vehicle was priced competitively so there was no need for any haggling. I worked with Garett Beaver, and was very impressed. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and overall just on top of his game. He made the process very smooth and easy for me. It was a used vehicle and had a few minor things that needed to be addressed. Your staff was already aware of the issues and even helped me iron them out. I never felt like anything was trying to get "swept under the rug". Next to having to fix a water problem at my house, trading cars is next on my list of things I do not like to do. Guess that's why I have not purchased myself an auto in almost 12 years. I'll have to admit, this was the best experience I've had. I saw the truck I was looking for on the web, I went to the lot in Dalton and was greeted by Ken Janish. He told me up front that he wasn't going to "sale" me a car, but rather help me find what I needed. The prices were set, so none of that wondering if the business manager had to be involved in a haggling match and I didn't get to closing the deal and learn of a bunch of hidden fees. Ken let me drive anything I wanted and answered every question I had. Car trading is about me getting a good deal and about someone like Ken making a living doing it. I think that balance was met, because I got a very fair price for my 12 year old trade-in and based on my research, Adventure gave me the most competitive price on my new truck.
Sorry Ken, but I hope not to be back for another 12 years, but when I do, Adventure Chevrolet will be a for sure starting point.

I just wanted to say that when I stopped by Adventure Chevrolet on 03-03-2011 to look at your 2011 Dodge Charger, Charles Nicholson was walking the lot when I stopped we started talking and he introduced him self and then asked me if I was looking for any specific type of automobile, and I said that I wanted to see the Dodge Charger.From then on the first impression I felt I could trust him. Me being law enforcement you go on your gut feelings he answered all my questions he did not push me one way or the other at all like some sales people do.
